Serving members with local leadership
Middle Tennessee Electric is led by a democratically elected group of members called the Board of Directors. These directors are responsible for selecting the MTE president and CEO tasked with directing and managing employees during daily cooperative operations.
To help our members find the information they are looking for, we’ve put together some helpful information for members regarding our leadership.
As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, Middle Tennessee Electric is a locally controlled and member-owned organization. Electric consumers from MTE are considered members and are encouraged to engage with the elected Board of Directors and the cooperative employees.
Senior leaders at MTE are responsible for the daily operation and management of the cooperative. Their roles provide direction for employees to complete the cooperative’s purpose, mission, and vision.
MTE's board of directors meet each month in addition to any other events they are required to attend. The most recent schedule has been updated below.
