Energy Programs

Middle Tennessee Electric wants to be our members' trusted energy advisor by providing them with more ways to save electricity, money, and time when solving their energy problems. One of the ways we help our members is through our energy services like our home evaluations and Heat Pump loan programs. As our residential and business members' needs grow and evolve to fit their needs, our hope is to help guide them and offer solutions to assist them in their energy journey. Below you'll find some ways we can help you to accomplish your goals as it relates to energy.

Residential Programs

eScore is a residential energy efficiency service that provides single-family homeowners with a clear path to make their home a 10 – it's most energy efficient. The service also increases home comfort and saves you money. eScore allows homeowners to work toward a score of 10 for their home at their own pace, earning rebates on qualified energy efficiency upgrades and re-engaging with the service as many times as needed to achieve their home’s best possible energy performance.

Heat Pump Program

It's by far the largest energy user in your home -- heating and air conditioning. So when you're faced with choosing a heat-and-air unit for your home, it will affect your budget for years to come.

Fortunately, Middle Tennessee Electric is here to help. Your cooperative can help you finance a new heat pump at 7%. The loan can have up to a 10-year term with no penalty for early payoff. Payments are added to your monthly electric bill. To qualify for MTEMC's Heat Pump Program, applicants must be the owner of the home and property where the heat pump is to be located and pass an independent credit review.

To get started contact your local energy services coordinator or a business from our Quality Contractor Network.

Business Programs

New Homes

The New Homes Program was designed by TVA and Middle Tennessee Electric to offer a suite of new HVAC and water heating equipment incentives. Incentives are available for all-electric homes, as well as homes that have gas appliances in them. The incentives are offered for both single-family homes and duplexes. To be eligible for incentives, homes must be new (less than one year old), built to prevailing local code, and have qualified equipment installed. Learn more about the New Homes Program, go to

Quality Contractor Network (QCN)

We've partnered with TVA to provide a list of heating and air contractors that meet their energy standards. To qualify for certain Energy Right Solution programs, members must use these contractors. Find one near you by viewing the current QCN list.
